Tera McHenry
Tera McHenry, a native of Connecticut, began dancing at the age of four. She studied intensely for 12 years at New England Dance and Gymnastics Center in Westfield, Massachusetts, Broadway Dance Center in New York City, and Steps in New York City. She began competing in national dance competitions throughout the United States earning such awards as "Jr. Miss Dance of the United States", "International Queen of Dance," and one of the "Overall Top Senior Soloists" at Showstopper National Finals. She developed a love for choreography and won numerous awards for her work as a choreographer such as "Top Choreography Award" at Onstage America and Starbound, and "Top Choreography Finals" at the United States Tournament of Dance. She studied at the Greater Hartford Academy of the Arts and the Hartford Stage where she broadened her education in the performing arts. While attending, she was introduced to the world of theater and soon her passion for dancing was shared with her newfound passion for acting. She lived in London, England while attending the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art studying classical theater. While in London, she starred in a production of "Hamlet" under the direction of Robin Midgley. Other theater credits include Nina in "The Seagull," Isabelle in "Ring Around The Moon," Lucille in "Dearly Departed," and Nelya in "Breshnev's Children." Tera is a graduate of the American Academy of Dramatic Arts and recently earned her B.A. in Creative Writing at Antioch University Los Angeles. She is thrilled to be a part of the MNR Dance Factory team.
