After 32 incredible years of Molly & Roni’s Dance Factory A.K.A. MNR Dance Factory (MNRDF) mentoring young children and teens into adulthood, it is with a mixture of joy and sadness that I announce I will not be renewing my lease as my landlord is in the process of selling the property. This decision comes with a heavy heart, but also with immense gratitude for the years we’ve shared and the friendships built and maintained between my former partner Molly and I and the dancers that have come through our doors.
Owning this dance studio has been more than a job; it’s been a lifelong passion and a cherished journey. Watching your children grow, learn, and shine has been the greatest reward. Every recital, every class, and every smile has made these years unforgettable.
I’ve been spending the last year and a half building the Non Profit side of MNR Dance Factory, namely, Blak & Blue Dance Project (BBDP), a 501(c)(3) organization. Visit our newly launched website (blakandbluedanceproject.org) with our mission statement.
Please click here to Jamie Lee Curtis and Maria Shriver speaking on myself and MNR Dance Factory.
We are continuing the mission that we began in 1992. Our goal moving forward is to harness our 32 years of extensive experience as educators and mentors on a macro level partnering with, among others, DemocraSHE, The Women’s Alzheimer’s Movement and Equality Now.
Keep an eye out for your invitation to our upcoming reunion celebrating three generations of MNRDF dancers and families!
WAYS TO STAY INVOLVED
MNRDF has always been a place of community, support, and networking. This will continue through BBDP, which is staffed solely by MNR Dance Factory alums! We offer mentorship programs to previous alumni and scholarships through the money that we will be raising.
If you feel so inclined, there are ways to donate time or monetarily noted on the Blak & Blue Dance Project website.
I want to express my deepest thanks to you for your unwavering support, trust, and for allowing me and my staff to be a part of your children's dance journeys, and after 32 years, possibly your dance journey! It has been an honor and a privilege.
Though I am stepping away from the daily operations of a dance studio, my work as a commercial choreographer and artist in residence at the Archer School for Girls will continue into my 12th year.
I am confident that the studio’s legacy will continue through the wonderful memories and the incredible talent that has graced our floors.
I know this because I am pleased to announce our very own Miss Rose will be continuing on as the new founder of Do The Most Dance Co. I encourage you all to keep your children dancing and learning from her in her new journey as a company owner!
Please look out for her email and don't hesitate to stay in touch!
